Ensoniq ASR-10: DX Kit
Oberheim’s classic drum machine from 1980, the DX, the younger brother of the infamous DMX, think Salt n Pepa, Run DMC. Meticulously recorded through a Neve 1073 Pre-Amp via Mogami Gold cables into the converters of the original Akai MPC3000. Then, those sounds, are imported into the ASR-10, for a custom 'fit and configuration' into a native 'ASR-10 Instrument'. This way, you get a reproduction of an original Oberheim DX that utilizes the analog to digital converters inside the MPC3000 for a slightly different sonic signature.
Digital downloadable file includes:
A folder containing a '.txt' instruction file, plus a SCSI image file that you can copy on to your SCSI removable media. Contained within that image, is an ASR Instrument containing 25 individually Sampled sounds 4x Kicks, 4x Snares, 1x Low Tom, 1x Mid Toms, 1x Hi Toms, 2x Closed Hats, 2x Semi-Open Hats, 2x Open Hats, 3x Hand Claps, 3x Crash Cymbals & 2x Shakers. All trimmed and positioned to bring a convincing 'DX' experience to your ASR!
