Akai S3000XL: TR626 Kit
Roland's 12-BIT Sample-based TR-626 Drum Machine from 1987. Very much half a TR707, and half TR505, used on many House & Techno record classics.
Meticulously recorded through a Neve 1073 Pre-Amp via Mogami Gold Cables into the converters of an original MPC3000, which many claim to be, the 'best sounding' MPC.
Then those sounds are loaded into the S3000XL for a custom fit and configuration into a native 3000XL Program. This way, you get the reproduction of an original 626 that utilizes arguably the best converters from the MPC series to offer a rich tone and slightly different sonic signature.
