Akai MPC4000: TR626 Kit
Roland's 12-BIT Sample-based TR-626 Drum Machine from 1987. Very much half a TR707, and half TR505, used on many House & Techno record classics.
Meticulously recorded through a Neve 1073 Pre-Amp via Mogami Gold Cables into the converters of an original MPC3000, which many claim to be, the 'best sounding' MPC.
Those sounds were then loaded into the MPC4000 for a custom fit and configuration into a native 4000 Program. This way, you're playing an original 626 that utilized, arguably, the best converters in the MPC legacy to offer a rich tone baked into the character of a classic Drum Machine.
