Akai MPC2000XL: DX Kit
Oberheim’s classic drum machine from 1980, the DX, the younger brother of the infamous DMX, think Salt n Pepa, Run DMC. Meticulously recorded through a Neve 1073 Pre-Amp via Mogami Gold cables, into the converters of the original MPC3000 (which many agree.. is the best sounding MPC). Then 'those sounds' are loaded into the 2000XL, for a custom 'fit and configuration' into a native '2000XL Program'. This way, you get the reproduction of an original DX that utilizes, arguably the best converters, from the MPC series, to offer a rich tonality and dynamic range.
Digital downloadable file includes:
A folder containing a '.txt' instruction file, the '.PGM Program File' along with 25x .SND files (Akai Format Sounds), that you can paste directly onto your MPC's removable media and load into your 2000, or compatible MPC.
